Driver-partner #PROTips 2: Be welcoming, engaging and friendly!

In this week’s installment of #PROTips, we’ll tell you how to engage with your riders to ensure that they are having a great time, the Uber way:

• Smile, smile, smile
  Flash that winning smile of yours when riders get into your car, and make them feel welcomed. It’s the little gestures that will make their day.
• Gotta chat ’em all!Strike up a conversation with your riders; make an effort to get to know them! People love to talk about themselves. But if they are giving you short answers or are fiddling away on their phones, take that as a sign that they do not want to talk.
• Be there for themProvide your riders exceptional service: offer to turn the AC up or down, or even change the radio station to one that they prefer. Riders appreciate your effort to make them comfortable.
• Receive them with open doorsKeep in mind that all riders are different. You’ll encounter riders with all types of personalities, so keep an open mind and don’t be judgemental when you engage them.
• Loosen up and have fun!It’s always important to interact with your riders as though they are your friends. Engage with them, grace them with your sense of humour; it’ll help to cheer them up especially after a long day at work.
• Keep calm and carry onYour rider behaving in an unpleasant manner? Don’t worry. Just keep calm and do not engage with the rider directly. Just complete the trip and report the encounter to us. We’ll sort things out for you.

3. Jadikan penyelenggaraan kereta sebagai rutinIkutilah jadual penyelenggaraan kereta supaya kereta anda sentiasa berkeadaan yang baik.
4. Pastikan tekanan tayar yang optimum
   Anda haruslah sentiasa memeriksa tekanan tayar kenderaan anda. Pastikan anda mengisi angin apabila perlu. Tekanan tayar adalah penting untuk mengurangkan penggunaan minyak supaya kenderaan anda berjalan dengan efisien.

Here’s all you need to do to earn:

1. Check the Uber Partner App
   Check your Partner App daily to see all our upcoming Earnings Guarantees
2. Drive in the right areas during the guarantee periods
   Yes that’s right – it’s that easy. All completed trips on uberX / uberXL which are requested from the highlighted areas qualify for Earnings Boost.
3. Make Money!!
   You get to keep ALL your earnings boost. Uber only deducts the service fee from your fare portion.

Here’s how it looks like, using an actual trip receipt from a partner:

Gross Fare: RM19.30
Uber Service Fee: RM4.83 (25% service fee from gross fare)
Toll: RM2.50
Earnings Boost: RM5.79 net (1.3x at this location and time)
Net Earnings: RM22.76 (Gross Fare – Uber Service Fee + Toll + Earnings Boost)
