Calculating Your Earnings Boost

#PROtip: Uber does not take service fee from Earnings Boost – meaning you’ll receive the full boost amount!
You just need to drive in the right places during the guarantee hours to be entitled to receive earnings boosts.
For example: You complete a trip in the Area with Earnings Guarantees of 1.8x:

• Rider’s Fare: RM 10.50 (at 1.0X surge)
• Earnings Guarantee: RM10.50*1.8 = RM18.90
• Total Received = RM7.88 (fare of RM10.50 less 25% service fee) + RM8.40 (Earnings boost of RM8.40 – not subject to Uber service fee) = RM16.28

Q: Help! I can’t see any Promotions or Guaranteed Earnings Areas on my application!
For now, our earnings guarantees only apply for both the uberX and the uberXL products. In addition, if you have not been active on the Uber system for some time, your partner profile may not be eligible for this. Please visit our Greenlight Hub at THIS LOCATION to get assistance.

Q: What kind of trips qualify for Earnings Guarantees?
All completed trips on the uberX and uberXL product which are requested from the Guarantee Areas during the promotion period qualify for earnings guarantees. This will not cover both canceled trips and/or trips on other products (such as Uber BLACK).

Q: How does this differ from the normal Uber surge?
This works just like surge – except now, we’re guaranteeing surge fares so long as you’re driving in the right areas and during the right times. On the application, the supported area will be shown with a red border with a red box with the Guarantee Amount levels attached.

Q: What if I receive a surged fare during the Earnings Boost period?
For every single fare, you’ll receive either the surged fare the rider pays or the earnings guarantees, whichever is higher.
For example:
Earnings guarantee period of 1.5X
Receive a trip with 1.0X surge – receive an earnings boost of an additional 0.5X on the original fare of the trip (total 1.5X)
Receive a trip with 1.2X surge – receive an earnings boost of an additional 0.3X on the original fare of the trip (total 1.5X)
Receive a trip with 1.8 X surge – exceed earnings guarantee, no incentive top-ups.

Q: How does the incentive work for cash-trip fares?
Earnings Boost works for both cash / non-cash payment trips.
On cash trips, the green screen will show up how much you need to collect from customers. In order to see your Earnings Boost on that trip, check in your trip history.
